“I Unapologize” Intro.

I do not intend to be well liked after penning this work. Furthermore, I do not care. My intention is to plead with you to be encouraged and “walk in a manner worthy of your calling….”

This book is for me just as much as it is for you. And, when I say, “you”, I recognize NOT everyone shares my Christian sentiments. If you do not, then I am glad you are reading (it is not by chance you have picked this up). In fact, I hope you came with questions so you can leave with more desire to pray for the application of the answers.

It is often said that “politics and faith do not mix,” but I am here to contend that if politics are left unchecked by faith—politics will become the new “faith”! Left unchecked by good and faith-filled people, “doing right in our own eyes”, will become the new religion.

This is where your life intersects with the changing of tomorrow. Your life matters, and—if it does—so does your conduct, reasoning, and involvement in anything your life touches.

Our communities and our government need faith-filled people—but not just “any”. There is a certain “breed” of Christian this world needs: those that “love without hypocrisy” and those unapologetic for the truth even if it is unpopular. Will you be unapologetic? Will you stand alone if necessary, even among members of your own camp?

My friend, the hour is late…but God does awesome things in the “late hours”, in the impossible moments; and we may again see him confound the “wise” with a people who petition—once again—their “Divine Sovereign”.

“Some trust in Chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.” (Psalm 20:7) It is my prayer that our trust in God—as a providential and sovereign God—will motivate you to ACT instead of sinking into apathy and passivity. According to John Adams, “Our Constitution was made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” So, the first step is very self-explanatory: We must return to this truth or lose our beloved America. We are faltering because of a faltering Christianity; the salt is losing its savor….

How can we return and be restored? If you want to save America (which is not a guarantee), it begins on our knees with open Bibles, in our consciences, in our homes, THEN with the upholding of the Constitution. But you cannot/should not “get the cart before the horse”!

This work will serve as a small primer for the “pump” of liberty. I hope it makes you to think, pray, and act…. Faith can move mountains, then why not America? John Adams is right: we need morality and religion (Christianity) for our government to survive and thrive. If we reject this truth, then we reject America. (That would be an un-Christian thing to do!) So…lets dive in.
